Just like the McDonalds Oakton picture facing east, except this was taken a few days later and from the other side. Decision for your kid: get out the mountaineering gear, or walk in traffic?
I wonder what the Public Works people think as they drive by this kind of thing. (It sure isn't "I'm going to make sure that sidewalk is cleared," because 17 days later it still wasn't.)
Turned out a police officer was there, and I asked him about that. He said that he never noticed that kind of thing when he drove by, didn't know there was anything wrong with it.
