This is, hands down, the most obnoxious, ill-conceived planting, in terms of consideration of pedestrians, that I've seen. Why someone thought it was a good idea to put that in a tiny little bit of dirt at the corner, the crossing of two pedestrian lanes--and keep it both growing out of control yet well-trimmed, I have no idea. I do know that if a couple of President Obamas or McCains come walking by, one of them is going to have to walk on the grass. Why didn't Park Ridge rip this out a long time ago?--it's on the parkway.
