This is one of my favorite pictures. In some places sidewalks seem to be in a panic to get farther away from the street, and instead of taking long, graceful curves, make two sharp angle turns close to each other. (Easier to make the concrete forms, I suppose.) This corner on Northwest Highway is an example of that. What corner, you say? The one completely covered over by the evergreen. It's no major heartbreak for the walker, since there's a driveway nearby that serves the same purpose. Still, it's a good reminder that sidewalks don't get no respect.
