Sorry about the blur. I'm sure you've seen those rectangular forests of arborvitae or similar that surround utility boxes on parkways. I assume it's the result of some regulation that declares such equipment ugly as sin and demands that it be hidden away in nature. (Or maybe they think it'll make things harder for terrorists to find--who knows?) Seems excessive to me, but you may have noticed that I don't run the world quite yet. I poked my head into this one because the trees were, you guessed it, overhanging the sidewalk. This tiny little telco thing is all I found inside. Couldn't they just have covered it with a hollow concrete goose or something and been done with it?
